Abstract

This essay delves into the dynamic relationship between drawing, movement, and urban life, exploring the expressive potential of different mediums. From the chaotic, never-ending rhythm of traffic, captured in sketches and murals, to the satirical critique of human arrogance in our perception of animals, the works presented challenge perspectives and provoke thought. The tactile immediacy of ballpoint pen drawing offers a gestural freedom akin to dancing, contrasting with the calculated precision of digital color studies. The Elephant Panel exemplifies this balance, where digital tools were used to simulate color variations while preserving the spontaneity of hand-drawn expression. Through these reflections, the essay highlights drawing as both an intuitive act and a critical tool for engaging with the world.
