About

Urban Creativity / Wise Thorough (UC/WT) is an independent international research network and platform based in Lisbon. We are dedicated to studying the non-sanctioned, alternative, and creative activities that transform public spaces. By focusing on graffiti, street art, and urban interventions, our initiative promotes a multidisciplinary approach through academic publications and global conferences.

Since 2014, our flagship conference and interventions have taken place annually in early July across various venues in Lisbon's historical center, including the Faculty of Fine Arts. To date, we have published nine books and manage nine academic journals (six of which are active), featuring nearly 800 open-access articles across more than 70 issues.
