About us

Urban Creativity / Wise Thorough (UC/WT) is an independent international research network and platform based in Lisbon, dedicated to studying non-sanctioned, alternative, and creative activities that transform public spaces. The initiative fosters a multidisciplinary approach to urban life and creative interventions, focusing on graffiti, street art, and city interventions through academic publications and global conferences.

Our flagship conference and interventions occur every year on early July since 2014 in Lisbon historical center (Fine Arts Faculty among other venues). We have published 9 books and we edit 9 academic journals (6 active) with nearly 800 articles in more than 70 issues, open access.
